Fixtures & Results widgets
The Fixtures and Results widgets allow the user to search for fixtures and results on a club or county board site.
Each widget can occupy its own page and these pages may be created as sub-menus of a Matches or Games page, or they may be stand-alone to be accessed directly from the navigation bar.
The two widgets can also be placed next to each other.
A sample Fixtures widget is shown below.
Use the Fixture Settings tab to define the view of the widget on your site.
Use the widget’s filters to set the public view. You could add several of these widgets to show the fixtures for different teams.
If the ‘Filter’ value is set to ‘Off’, then users will not be able to perform a detailed search using the Filters button.
The Results widget behaves in the same way.
Fixtures – Public View
The display of fixtures now incorporates past playing performances of both sides.
Click or tap on an entry to get the fixture details.
If a ground has been added to the fixture there will be a map.
There is a Filters button which (if not set to Off in the widget) drops down a panel to allow further searches.
Mobile Views
The mobile device views of fixtures have also been improved - iPhone examples below.
A tip to get the best view of the fixtures is to set the X-Axis position for the widget to 0, the width to 1120 and the height to 2200 in site builder. This removes the scroll bars seen on some views.
The same tip applies to the Results widget.
Results – Public View
Results have been changed to place team scores next to the team names with information immediately visible. Icons indicate Wins, Losses and Draws, who won the toss and who batted first. A scorecard is a click or tap away.
There are drop down filters similar to those in the fixtures.
The mobile views are also improved (shown here from an iPhone).
With scorecards being better adjusted to the mobile screen sizes too.
