Statistics Widgets - adding and modifying Follow
The statistics widgets in Play-Cricket are easily modified so that the information that you wish to present to users of your site can be set as a default.
Here is an example of a batting stats page as viewed by the public:
Click on the column headings to change the sort order. e.g. clicking the Games heading will place the person who has played in the most games for the current season at the top of the list.
Click the vFilters button to see the list of filters that can be applied.
When you have made a selection, click the Apply Filters button. Click the ∧Filters button to collapse the filters and see the results.
To make changes to the default filters and display columns, go to Site administration>Site Management>Site Builder
If any stats widget is missing from your site’s webpages, it can be found in the Widgets>Stats dropdown list.
Here is the Site Builder view of the page.
To view the settings that produced this result, open the widget in Site Builder by clicking on it.
The ‘2013’ in the Comment field can be removed since the Season has been set to Current Season, otherwise an administrator would need to update this field each season.
To make full use of Team Category, the category that the team falls into – Junior, Senior etc must be allocated in the Set Up>Teams page of a club or county board site.
Here is the altered widget with the Comment field removed and the number entries to be shown increased to 100.
If more than 15 entries are displayed, then the height of the widget should be increased to 800 pixels to minimise the amount of scrolling required to view the page as in the screenshot below.
In the revised stats page ‘2013’ no longer appears under the Batting Statistics title.
Also, having increased the height of the widget, the user can see the page numbers without having to scroll down.
This exercise may be repeated for all of the statistics pages.
