For all children partaking in the ECB Junior Cricket formats, we recommend that they join the Cricket Club that they play for and Play-Cricket. However, to do this their parent/guardian also needs to join the club, but it’s a very simple process and once a member, you can be involved as little or as much as you wish. For your child though, it gives them the opportunity to see their stats; coaches and leagues can monitor their development, and generally the junior member will improve their cricketing technique and enjoyment.
Step 1 is for the parent/guardian to join the cricket club. In the example below the club is Dunlop Stars. Click on Sign Up
The screen below will appear. Complete all the mandatory details
When you press CONTINUE, you will see a screen to create a password. When you have done this, the following message appears:
When you access your email, you will see a message similar to this:
After accepting them, you will be taken to your Communication Preferences
Select the appropriate radio buttons
Clicking CONTINUE will present you with a few more screens. If you’re a parent/guardian who is only registering in order for your child to register for Play-Cricket, then just press Continue on each screen and then Finish
Your name will now appear as signed in on the website
You can now register your child’s details.
Click on your name and then choose Edit Account
On the first screen presented, go into Edit ECB Login Details
This will take you to a screen with the below Headings
Select Child Accounts and this screen will appear.
Enter your child’s details but do not complete the Email Address field.
Pressing SAVE will take you to the below screens – exactly the same as when you signed up, but this time you will need to select the club that your child plays for.
On completion you will see that your child’s name appears in the menu when you click on your name
By selecting your child’s name, you can edit their details, including adding a Display Name for safeguarding purposes:
