Step One:

Go to File>New Match

To set up a new match to start later:

Enter the match details (clubs/teams/date/match type/venue), select ‘Create as fixture only’, then select ‘Start Locally’.

This will then save into the database and be available on ‘Start Match from Fixture’.

To set up a match from the fixture database:

Go to file>start match from fixture.

The pop up will allow you to choose a saved game or create your own to a varying degree of detail, from Captains to Scorers. The Player order on this screen reflects the batting order of the team. You can change this by left clicking the player and using the arrows to move them up or down the order.

Please Note: All fields marked with a * are mandatory and must be completed before you can continue. 

Once details are entered you have three options; Start as Live Scorer, Start Locally or Cancel.

Start as Live Scorer – this will allow you to score live, uploading the match over by over to Play-Cricket.com and the Play-Cricket Live app.
Start Locally - this is the offline version, meaning you don’t need an internet connection to score the fixture. However, you will have needed to download this match before arriving at the ground.
Save and Start Later –  In effect it means ‘I don’t want to start scoring yet’ so it cancels starting to score. The match is still saved for later scoring. i.e. it’s what you do on a Friday night for a match on Saturday.

Cancel- Cancel setting up match data.

Select Save to continue.

Step Two:

You will now be taken to the main screen. The Record Toss button will be highlighted:

Click on the button to record the result of the toss and Save.

Step Three:

Select Start Play to get your scoring underway!
