Winning and Score Predictor (WASP) (PCS Pro) Follow
A Par Score for the Win And Score Predictor (WASP) system can now be set for all 50- and 20-over Competitions, but this can be edited at the match level to adjust for specific match day (pitch, weather, boundary size, etc) conditions. The Par Score is that score which experts, such as commentators or coaches, believe will give both teams a 50 per cent chance of winning at the change of innings. To edit the Competition Par Score, simply click the Score Summary -> WASP hyperlink to open the Edit WASP Par dialog, as below, and change the WASP Par.
The WASP Value will change to the same as the WASP Par if this is edited before play begins or re-calculate immediately if there has been play before this change is made.
To view the WASP Player Impact calculations during play, go to View -> Stats and Graphs and select Player Impact to open the below panel, which can be re-sized and re-located as usual.
The First Innings is measured in runs, as it is each player’s (and batting partnership’s) impact on the expected additional runs prediction. A positive number is good for batsmen and partnerships (green) and bad for bowlers (red), while a negative number is bad for batsmen and partnerships (red) and good for bowlers (green).
The Second Innings is measured in percent, as it is each player’s (and batting partnership’s) impact on the batting team’s probability of winning. A positive number is good for batsmen and partnerships (green) and bad for bowlers (red), while a negative number is bad for batsmen and partnerships (red) and good for bowlers (green).
All the figures will automatically update as each ball is scored, and a match or separate innings report can be viewed, saved, or printed.
