Ending an Innings/Match Without App Prompts

By default, an innings will automatically end if the batting side:

Runs out of wickets.
Runs out of overs (in a limited-overs format).
Reaches their target score (if chasing).

However, you might wish to manually end an innings if the batting side have declared, the match has been abandoned (for example, due to adverse weather conditions) or if playing a timed match.

Manually Ending an Innings

You can close an innings at any time during the match using either of these methods:

1. Via the Match Actions Button:

Press the Match Actions button in your scoresheet.

Choose Close Innings.

Select the Close Innings Type and press Done.

If you’ve closed the innings in error, unslide the Close Innings toggle and press Done to return to the scoresheet.

2. Via the Menu:

Tap the Menu button (a three dot icon at the top of the screen).

Select Match Status.

Slide the Close Innings button to the right.

Choose a Close Innings Type.

Confirm your selection by pressing Done; and the app will display a message.

Press YES to close the innings.

Manually Ending a Match

You can end a match using either of these methods:

1. Via the Match Actions Button:

Press the Match Actions button in your scoresheet.

Select End Match.

2. Via the Menu:

Tap the Menu button (a three dot icon at the top of the screen).

Select Match Status.

Slide the End Match button to the right.

Confirm your selection by pressing Done; and the app will display a message.

Select Yes to End Match.

Using either the Match Actions or Menu button, the app will then ask you to confirm the result:

Select OK at the information dialogue.

You will be presented with a final chance to edit the scorecard. Once done, select End Match.

An information dialogue will ask whether you wish to cancel, to take you back to the scorecard; Finalise Result if you’re ready to upload and lock your result into Play-Cricket; or Save and Exit, if you wish to return to the match in PCS for further adjustment at a later time or date.
