In-Game Duckworth Lewis Calculator (PCS) Follow
If a Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) calculation is required at any stage of the match, follow the steps below.
Please Note, there is now an interactive Duckworth-Lewis tutorial on the PCS Login page under 'Tutorials'.
How to Apply a Duckworth-Lewis Calculation In-Game:
1. Click Match Actions.
2. Select Duckworth Lewis.
3. You will see the following error if the number of overs in the match have not been set to 50 or fewer.
4. To amend the number of overs, so Duckworth-Lewis can be utilised, go back to the scoresheet and tap the three-dot-icon in the top right and select Match Settings.
5. Navigate to Overs per innings and ensure a value of 50 or less has been selected.
6. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 to return to the Duckworth-Lewis window. Ensure Duckworth Lewis is selected and press Done. You may be presented with multiple DL options, e.g. Duckworth-Lewis (Standard). Duckworth-Lewis (V4), Duckworth-Lewis (V5). If unsure, consult with your league or competition organisers prior to match day.
7. A Match Status window will appear — confirm Duckworth-Lewis is selected, then press Done.
8. Choose a G50 Value and press Done.
-
- G50 represents the average score expected from the team batting first in a full 50-over innings.
- Use Men's Match (245) for men's cricket.
- Use Women's Match (200) for women's cricket.
- Use Custom for custom setups or lower level matches.
9. The DLS Calculator will now generate a par and target score based on current match conditions. Please note; until a suspension period is added, the par score will be the same as the current score.
10. To adjust the par score due to overs lost, select Suspension Periods.
11. Tap New Suspension Period.
12. Manually enter the overs remaining after suspension.
13. The par score and number of wickets can be manually adjusted if needed to check different target scenarios.
14. The Target and Par scores will now be reflected on your Scoresheet.
