Editing or Adding Wickets/Retirements in Edit Mode, and Auto-Reassignment of Subsequent Balls (PCS Pro) Follow
Wickets and Retirements can now be edited or added via Edit Mode, as per the process for other edits or additions, such as swapping striker and non-striker, changing run/extra types, or editing or adding supplemental information like wagon wheels, pitch map, etc. So, click Edit, go to the required ball to be edited, and either edit or add a Wicket or Retirement, using the relevant dialogs as usual. Once all changes are made, click Edit again to save these and return to the current match state and continue scoring.
There are a few key points to note with this new functionality. Firstly, changing the dismissed batsman (e.g., on a Run Out) on a previous ball can only be done if the change is not to a batsman who is out dismissed on a subsequent ball; this error would need to be corrected first.
Secondly, if a wicket or retirement is added to a previous ball, a prompt will ask to confirm the automatic reassignment of subsequent balls faced by this now dismissed (or retired) batsman to the next player in the batting order:
Click Continue if the subsequent balls should be reassigned to the suggested incoming batsman, but also if this is not the correct player; they can then be quickly replaced by the correct player for the innings, by the usual process.
If for some reason the subsequent balls should not be reassigned immediately, click Continue without Reassignment to close the prompt but stay in Edit Mode.
Finally, the Auto-Correct function will also still work in conjunction with Auto-Reassignment, so this prompt may also appear during this process, depending on any runs/strike changes being made when adding a wicket or retirement to a previous ball.
