Editing or Adding Wickets or Retirements to Previous Balls (PCS Pro) Follow
Wickets and Retirements can now be edited on or added to previous balls. To do this, click Edit, highlight the required ball, open the Wicket or Retirement dialog as usual, make the necessary changes or additions, and click Edit again to save these and return to the current match state to continue scoring.
There are a few key points to note with this new functionality. Firstly, changing the dismissed batsman (e.g., on a Run Out) on a previous ball can only be done if the change is not to a batsman who is out dismissed on a subsequent ball; this error would need to be corrected first.
Secondly, if a wicket or retirement is added to a previous ball, a prompt will ask to confirm the automatic reassignment of subsequent balls faced by this now dismissed (or retired) batsman to the next player in the batting order:
Click Continue if the subsequent balls should be reassigned to the suggested incoming batsman, but also if this is not the correct player; they can then be quickly replaced by the correct player for the innings, by the usual process.
If for some reason the subsequent balls should not be reassigned immediately, click Continue without Reassignment to close the prompt but stay in Edit Mode.
Finally, the Auto-Correct function will also still work in conjunction with Auto-Reassignment, so this prompt may also appear during this process, depending on any runs/strike changes being made when adding a wicket or retirement to a previous ball.
