Using the Autocorrect (PCS) Follow
The Autocorrect feature allows scorers to correct errors, such as selecting the wrong batter or bowler, or inputting an incorrect score (e.g., recording a 1 instead of a 2, causing the wrong batter to be on strike).
How to Use Autocorrect:
1. In the Ball-By-Ball window, find the ball where the error occurred and click the pencil icon.
2. Adjust the entry as needed:
-
- To correct the player, use the dropdown next to their name.
- To correct the run value, use the plus (+) or minus (-) buttons.
NB. If you are changing the bowler, selecting a ball number only amends the bowler for that particular ball. If you want to change the bowler for the whole over, click on the pencil icon next to the Over Number where this will be the only option available.
3. If the correction affects the striker, you will be prompted to update subsequent balls:
-
- Yes (Entire Innings): Updates the change for all remaining balls until the end of the innings.
- Yes (This Over): Updates the change for all remaining balls in the current over only.
- No: Changes only the selected ball.
4. An information window will appear, summarizing any adjustments (e.g., to wicket takers). You will have a final opportunity to confirm or cancel the changes.
This message will appear for every wicket taken after your initial amendment, and you will need to confirm it every time.
5. The changes are now reflected in the scoresheet and scorecard.
