League Registered Player Transfer Agreements (Leagues only) Follow
League Registered Player Transfer Agreements
This is a function that allows a league to enter into bilateral agreements with other leagues, so that a player transfer approved by one league automatically removes any registrations with the other league that is party to the agreement.
The Player Transfer Process
To illustrate the procedure, two leagues have been set up - Fred Bassett League and Steve’s Six a Side League.
The menu item to do this is in Administration>Set Up>Registered Players>Agreements. The Fred Basset League is initiating the agreement.
Selecting the ‘Agreements’ link takes the administrator to the Player Transfer Agreements page.
Clicking the ‘Add’ button creates an agreement request.
The administrator enters a few characters of the name of the league with which he wishes to have an agreement and clicks ‘Search’.
The league is selected and an invitation to take up the agreement is sent to the other league. A system message is displayed to confirm that this has been actioned.
Steve’s Six a Side League will get the invitation as a pending item on the Admin Home page.
The league administrator can either accept or reject the invitation.
Player transfer agreements that are in place may be viewed at any time by going to Administration>Set Up>Registered Players>Agreements.
In the following example, a nomination has been made for Tom Jerry from Anna’s Test Site to be registered with the Fred Bassett League.
Tom Jerry is already registered with Steve’s Six a Side League and is not eligible to play in both leagues. A transfer agreement between the leagues is in place.
The illustration below shows the member appearing in the registered players list for Steve’s Six a Side League.
The league administrator for the Fred Bassett League approves the registration for Tom Jerry.
The screen shot below shows that Tom Jerry has been removed from the list of registered players for Anna’s Test Site in Steve’s Six a Side League.
The system sends out notifications from the administrator of Fred Basset League to the Steve’s Six a Side League and Anna’s Test Site club administrators informing them that the transfer has taken place.
Removing the agreement
In this example, Steve’s six a Side League wishes to terminate the transfer agreement with the Fred Bassett League.
In Registered Players>Agreements the league administrator clicks the cross against the name of the league with which the agreement is to be terminated.
A system prompt is displayed which requires confirmation that the agreement is to be removed.
The administrator agrees by clicking OK.
A notification appears in the Fred Bassett League’s pending items on the Admin Home page.
The administrator for Fred Bassett’s League just acknowledges that the agreement has been removed.
