Syncing PCS to Play-Cricket and the Play-Cricket Live App
The scoresheet in PCS will normally sync automatically with Play-Cricket at the end of every over. The frequency with which it syncs with the Play-Cricket Live App will depend on your app settings.
Note: An active Internet connection is required for any syncing to take place.
Adjusting Sync Frequency in the App
To change how often PCS syncs:
1. Tap the three-line menu on the Matches screen.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Sync Frequency.
4. Choose one of the following options:
- Each ball: Automatically syncs ball-by-ball and scorecard data to Play-Cricket and the PC-Live App. Headline scores on Play-Cricket are updated at the end of each over.
- End of over: Automatically syncs to Play-Cricket and the PC-Live App at the end of each over.
- Manual: No automatic syncing to either Play-Cricket or the PC-Live App.
Sync Status Messages and Their Meaning
Once scoring begins, depending on your sync frequency settings, a message will appear toward the bottom of the screen showing the sync status:
-

Indicates that match data has been successfully updated to the PC-Live App, including ball-by-ball data on Play-Cricket. -

Error syncing scores. Scores saved to your device
The scoring device has lost internet connection. Scores will continue to update locally and will sync to both PC-Live and Play-Cricket once the connection is restored.
- Note that if there is no Internet connection, the sync button changes to indicate manual syncing is not available.
Manual Syncing
- To manually sync the latest score and data to Play-Cricket and PC-Live, tap the Sync button in the scoresheet at any stage. This will push the data through with immediate effect.
- Performing a Save & Exit in PCS will also sync scores to both Play-Cricket and PC-Live.
Main Scorer Requirement
Only the Main Scorer can upload match data to Play-Cricket. If you are not designated as the Main Scorer, data will not sync to the Play-Cricket website or PC-Live.
Refer to the Multiple Scorers section for more information.
